The ones who’re following me in Instagram have seen not only the pictures of the hotel I stayed in with my husband but also not less interesting views from Eindhoven where GLOW light installation festival took place.
If you don’t understand what I’m talking about maybe that’s worth visiting Instagram and click on the button “Follow”? In this post I posted my impressions from the hotel in Netherlands where we spent 3 days. Of course, from the point of view of an interior (if something else interests you I’m waiting for your questions!)! And for those who don’t like reading I’m uploading the video here (just in lithuanian, sorry).
I’ll begin from the fact that we chose this hotel because of beautiful photos and a very good rating of this hotel in booking.com website. I was also interested in the conception of the hotel.
The first two floors are dedicated to the restaurant, lounge zones, library, laundry room, mini gym and the space for games. The next floors up to 12 take local students. By the way, the Lithuania name in reception was heard not for the first time, they tell one Lithuanian man is studying there :) The rest of the hotel until the 24th floor was dedicated for the tourists from the whole world.
We got the corner room on the 15th . I imagined the corner room in a bit different way (with showcase windows) but two windows in different sides was enough. In the photos rooms look a bit “richer” from the point of view of interior and design (photos are the ones who sell) but we were not disappointed about the reality. A clean room full of interesting details. What else doo you need?
However, the first and the second floors were the most charming. Perfectly-thought-accents, contemporary design furniture and solutions and posters showing up everywhere (even in elevators) gave us the perfect mood! "Watch a soap oper here" and the wall with ostensibly lost socks where one can use an iron looked especially funny! It would be possible to write a separate post with all the notes that you saw, therefore, you probably understood how many of them there were and how they made your spirits high!
By the way, you can liven up any interior with posters and notes, especially if you don’t have a lot of money. This hotel has also been equipped quite economically, however, exactly colours and notes make it a bit more interesting and in some way lifts up the whole value.
Some time ago the post office existed in this place and the hotel was opened in 2006. The hotel has been working until now and, I am sure, will work for a long time in future. Me and my husband liked the hotel, we recommend you visit it, too! By the way, that’s not the only Student Hotel. You’ll find hotels of the same conception and styles in other cities of Netherlands, in Paris, in Spain and in Italy.
