Pop art style is recognized in an interior at once. Dynamics, stylized decorations, abstraction, asymmetrical composition and bright colors are highlighted. A depiction formed by a mass culture, for example, advertisement; the works similar to the scraps of magazine pages, posters (as written in lithuanian wikipedia), is characteristic to pop art style.
The creators of advertisements and comic books – illustrators are considered to be the initiators of pop art style. Its moto – to reveal aesthetics of a mass consumption. It is a materialistic style, which reflects a consumption era. It is a bit naive, a bit “dolly” and a bit ethereal, but at most comfortable and functional.
The most beloved material – plastic. Everything that is artificial is characteristic to pop-art and plastic is the best example of artificiality. The more artificial a material is and the more artificial its texture, the more it fits to this style. In essence, pop art doesn’t have any limits neither while planning the space nor choosing the colors, decorations and focuses. Well, now about the office itself. The office is divided into three parts, which are marked by different slogans. In the part of “THINK” the ideas and plans are developed, it's the very initial part of any project. The garden, the library and the Leidse square, very suitable to generate the ideas, are designed in this part.
In the part of “DO” all the ideas already switch to a more real level in which they are developed. In this part all the professionals in specific fields are working with these ideas.
The “MAKE” part – the part of realization where all the workers work with projecting, visualization, film making, etc. And yes, you are right, that is the advertising agency!
A veeeery creative space which matches the features of pop art style as already mentioned above. A nice and creative work for everybody who is still working!
