No interior which I have seen in Moscow is similar to this one. If I had to describe it in one word, I’d probably tell that it’s DELICIOUS. I know that it’s not the right description for the interior, however, I can’t do anything – the latter one is spinning in my mind and I can’t do anything about that!
This 35 sq.m apartment has been renovated in 2 months. Korneev design studio has made a great job and turned a small flat into a cosy and, as commentators say, living environment. Why do usually interior photos look cold and the interior doesn’t seem to be as a living space? In that there’s the lack of the items of the lords which personalize the space or simply interior accessories and textile products.
As far as the apartment is small and the ceiling height is 255 cm, it has been decided to use the colour white for the walls and for the ceiling. Indeed, it’s not even felt because the whole attention falls to the bright yellow, green and blue furniture, therefore, the colour white is simply perfect. In addition, so that the space became physically bigger, loggia has been joined to the flat. It required a lot of investments, however, the flat got bigger and the windows through the whole wall with a lot of natural daylight.
The bedroom has been designed in a quite private niche, and as soon as you enter the flat you can get to a separate closet and a rather spacious bathroom. The kitchen is very small, but probably the it’s enough for the client.
The antique mirror in the corridor has been repainted in white (instead of the colour gold) so that not to bring visual noise. The green sofa and the yellow carpet are obviously from IKEA. The kitchen that has been repainted in black is from IKEA, too. Well, and it was decided to turn a pine commode into the colour yellow.
The interior is decorated by the items from travels; those items perfectly match with colourful furniture and create a cosy atmosphere. The interior isn’t boring but dynamic and personalized where antiquities as well as new furniture perfectly fit. Well, and Sputnik style lamp perfectly fit here!
